Congratulations to Mick Child and family on the birth of Mick's new baby daughter Isabelle!

Isabelle arrived on 31st July and weighed in at 7lb 9oz, with both mum and baby doing well.

We are proud to let you all know that Tasha Mason has had her baby!!

Lhotse Anna Iona Mason-Burgess was born on Tuesday July 20th weighing in at 7lbs 5oz. Mum says she and baby are both doing well and happily now back home.

Congratulations to Tasha from all at the club!

The Club has been asked to provide safety cover for the one mile swim between The Butterfly Bridge and The Town Bridge. I am looking for 12 paddlers in kayaks with a minimum of 2 star award to help out.

It does involve an early start of about 7.00am for the safety briefing by the race organisers, with an expected finish time of about midday.

This is a high profile national competition, which is going to raise some monies for the Club, so please support this if you can.

There will be a presentation on Wednesday 14th July 2010 for monies raised from the sponsored paddle event which was held in May.  This will take place at The Clubhouse at 8.30pm.

The donation will be kindly received by Mrs Maggie Goodchild, Development Officer for the Bedford Guild House.

Should anyone have any outstanding monies, or wish to make a donation, please forward this to me as soon as possible, either in person at the Clubhouse on Wednesday nights, or by post to 2 Harrington Drive, Bedford.  Cheques made payable to the Viking Kayak Club please.
