Below is a list of the courses that Viking Kayak Club can offer.

BASIC:

BCU 1-Star - Basic Kayak handling, steering, capsize drill, basic theory

BCU 2-Star - Beginners course, slightly more advanced than basic

PaddlePower - designed to meet the needs of young people.

INTERMEDIATE:

BCU 3-Star - Intermediate skills, no longer a beginner

BCU FSRT - Foundation Safety and Rescue Training - How to save yourself and others

BCU AFA - Aquatic First Aid

ADVANCED:

BCU 4-Star Leader - Sufficient skills to be plan and lead up to 4 competent paddlers on a grade 2(3) whitewater trip

BCU 5-Star Leader - Sufficient skills to plan & lead a whitewater trip on grade 3(4)

BCU WWSR - White Water Safety and Rescue Training
