Polo
Canoe polo is an exciting paddling disipline which combines paddling and ball skills in a fast moving team game. The game is played on a marked pitch either indoors or outdoors with five players plus upto 3 subs on each side. The object of the game is to score in the opposition's goal , the ball can only be held for 5 seconds and any player in possesion of the ball can be pushed over.
Viking compete in several leagues under the name VKC. This year VKC entered 2 teams into National Division 4 - one into South East region and one into the Central region. We also entered a ladies team into the national Ladies Division 2 and a youth team into National Youth Division 2 South. We have around 20 members who are regularly involved in the sport.We train indoors at Robinson Pool during the winter and on the river during the warmer months.
