Below is an overview of the different membership tariffs Viking Kayak Club offers. At Viking, we have been serving Bedford since 1961 and aim to provide the same friendly, family-based club that has helped us to grow from a few friends out for a casual paddle to a membership of over 150 in 2007.

Family Membership
Two adults and one or more of their children (under 18), living at the same address
£85 per annum

Adult Membership
One Adult (over 18)
£63 per annum

Youth Membership
One Child (under 18 - minimum age is 8 yrs)
£37 per annum

Student, Social, OAP Membership
Anyone in receipt of a valid student union card, a non-paddler or an OAP
£37 per annum

Day Membership
If you just want to come and have a go and hire club equipment and a club boat, you need day membership.  £10 per day - Includes BCU insurance cover.

Day Concession
If you just want to come and have a paddle with club members but have all your own equipment.                 £5 per day - Includes BCU insurance cover.

Boat-Rack Storage

£45 per boat per annum (spaces limited)

Boathouse Key Deposit

£15 (Refundable)

Equipment/Boat Hire                                                    Free to members but priority must be given to students on courses.  All members are expected to provide their own boats and equipment  after a reasonable period of time.

Note:  it is important that anyone wishing to become a member is able to swim 50m in light clothing
