It is the policy of Viking Kayak Club to carry out CRB checks on all regular club helpers, coaches, committee members and any adults in a position of responsibility with regard to the care and supervision of children and young adults. This is carried out as far as practically possibly within a community based club, following the guidance of the British Canoe Union, and relies on the co-operation of the adults who volunteer their time to become involved with the supervision of children as part of the club activities.
