CAR PARK:
Public car park adjacent to Poynters Boathouse. Access via St. Paul’s Square and Horne Lane (mini roundabout) on one-way system. Upstream side of Bedford Town Bridge on the north bank of the river.

REFRESHMENTS:
Light refreshments/drinks will be available to competitors. Hot food and drinks/snacks will be available to spectators.
SAFETY :
All division 7, 8, 9, Lightning and Fun Race paddlers must wear B.C.U. approved buoyancy aids and all paddlers under 16 years of age in higher divisions are strongly advised to do so. Changing and shower facilities will be available at VKC.
PARTICIPATION:
Canoeing and Kayaking are “Assumed risk”-“Water contact sports” that may carry attendant risks. Participants should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own action and involvement.
PRIZES:
1st, 2nd & 3rd Paddler/Crew in each singles and doubles division will receive prizes provided there is quorate entry in division.
RESULTS:
Results will be sent by post to paddlers/clubs providing self-addressed stamped envelopes or by email if an email address is provided on entry form. V.K.C. Reserve the right without prior notice to alter any of these arrangements should the weather or circumstances warrant it.
NUMBERS:
Vertical numbers for marathon racing are compulsory for div 1 - 8.
FEES:
Senior: 5.50 per seat, Junior: 4.50 per seat, Lightning Race: 3.00 per seat. Late entries (accepted up to 10:15 hrs) 2.00 extra per seat. An additional fee of 2.50 per paddler will be charged for an event ticket if a current BCU membership card is not produced.
ENTRIES:
All entries including BCU numbers and individual ranking together with the correct fees payable to Viking Kayak Club must be received by Thursday 26th April 2007 fees by post, entries by post or email (preferred).
